Frequently asked questions
Using wax melts
How do I use a wax melt?
Break off one or two pieces and place them in the dish of your burner. Light an unscented tealight underneath, or switch on your electric warmer, and the wax will melt and release its fragrance. Never add water to the dish, and always follow the instructions that came with your burner.
How much wax should I use?
Start with one or two pieces. For a larger room or a stronger scent, add another piece. Do not overfill the dish.
How long does the scent last?
It varies with the fragrance, your burner and the size of the room. The wax itself does not evaporate, only the fragrance does, so when you can no longer smell it, it is time to swap the wax for a fresh piece.
How do I change the wax?
While the wax is warm and liquid, soak it up with a couple of cotton pads or kitchen roll and wipe the dish clean. Or let it cool and set fully, then gently push it and it should pop out in one piece. Never pour wax down the sink.
How should I store my melts?
Somewhere cool, dry and out of direct sunlight, ideally in a tin or sealed bag. This keeps the fragrance stronger for longer.
Our products
Are your wax melts handmade?
Yes. Every melt is handmade in small batches in Cheshire by Michelle.
Are your products cruelty free?
Yes, our products are cruelty free.
What is the label on my wax melts for?
Products that contain fragrance carry a CLP label. It lists the allergens in that particular scent and any safety information you need. Please read it before use, especially if you or anyone in your home has allergies or sensitivities.
Are wax melts safe around children and pets?
Wax melts are not food, and burners get hot. Keep melts and burners out of reach of children and pets, and never leave a lit burner unattended. If you have concerns about a particular fragrance and your pet, check the label and speak to your vet.
Do you add new scents?
All the time. Check back regularly to see what is new.
